Circulation
All materials in the library are checked out for 3 weeks, except for magazines and videos and DVDs, which check out for 1 week. There is a $1 charge for fiction DVDs, but no charge for non-fiction, children's or VHS videos.
Overdues
Your signature on your library registration card is a promise to us that you will return the items you check out on or before the due date. The library charges no late fees but makes every effort to recover overdue materials. If your items are two weeks late, you will receive a phone call from library staff. If you do not return the items, we will assume they are lost and will send you a bill. The nonreturn of library materials is a misdemeanor under Michigan law. Please take your repsonsibilities as a library patron seriously!
A public copy of the library policy manual can be found on the shelf in the reference room next to the Michigan Collection.
Collections
Special collections at the library include Westerns, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Large Print, Michigan, Audio Books, Easy Readers, Young Adult, Magazines, Newspapers and more. Ask the library staff if you are looking for something in particular.
